British adventurer and endurance athlete, Anna Mcnuff is also a best selling author who was recently included in a list of the 50 Most Influential Travellers in the world by Condé Nast Traveller. Her book was released in July 2017, entitled The Pants of Perspective and impressively debuted as a number one bestseller. Not only was Anna named one of the top female adventurers of our time by The Guardian but she is also the founder of Adventure Queens. Which is a fast-growing community that welcomes women adventurers.
With sport, endurance and adventure coursing through her veins, Anna is the daughter of two Olympic rowers. Before an unfortunate injury in her twenties, Anna followed in her parent's footsteps, representing Great Britain and securing medals at both the World and European Championships. Anna didn't let her injury define her career and instead, it pushed her into a newfound passion as an adventurer.
Anna has undertaken some huge adventurers throughout her career, in 2013 she cycled solo and unsupported through each state of the USA totalling a phenomenal 11,000 miles. In 2015 she put her mental resilience to the test as she ran 2,000 miles along the Te Araroa Trail in New Zealand. Running 32 miles a day, Anna travelled completely alone for 148 days carrying all of her belongings in a backpack which was as heavy as 20kgs.
Part of a two-women cycling team, Anna tackled 5,500 miles in 2017 along the spine of South America’s Andes mountains which saw her ascend over 100,000 metres. Anna shows no limits to her skills as an endurance athlete with her undertaking a 2,352 mile barefoot run in 2019, throughout Britain.
As a motivational speaker Anna provides high energy talks full of passion, humour and honesty to cover her life lessons learnt from the road.
