Angus Collins is a leading ultra-endurance athlete known for completing long and grueling expeditions and challenges. Excelling in ocean rowing, Angus is the world's most successful ocean rower and has set five ocean rowing records during his career. Most recently in 2021, Angus set the fastest open class row of the mid-Pacific as the navigator for Latitude 35. Along with his four-man team they rowed from California to Hawaii in an impressive thirty days, seven hours, and thirty minutes! Alongside his inspiring physical achievements, Angus is a dedicated mental health advocate who regularly shares insights on positive psychology with audiences.
In 2011, Angus completed his BSc in Geography from Oxford Brookes University and became a consultant in compliance and financial crime for JWC Search just a year later. With a keen interest in adventure and exploration, Angus became a Project and Sales Director for Rannoch Adventure in 2013 before utilising his leadership skills as the Campaign Manager and Skipper for Ocean Reunion. In this role, Angus attempted the notoriously difficult Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge and achieved a new race record of thirty-seven days. Angus later joined Latitude 35 Racing as a Navigator and Race Tactician, where he set the incredible goal of beating his Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge record.
Angus completed an MA in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology at the University of East London in 2022. From there, he began working as a Positive Psychology Coach, helping clients develop more resilient and adaptive mindsets. Angus later set himself the remarkable new goal of solo circumnavigating mainland Great Britain non-stop and unsupported. He named the challenge 'A Great British Odyssey' and featured on BBC Solent in 2025 to share his mission of raising awareness for the men's suicide prevention charity, James' Place. Angus also began hosting 'Chat with Angus' sessions in 2026, offering men a safe environment to share their thoughts and normalise conversations around men's mental health.
