Aaron McDaniel is a renowned corporate manager, serial entrepreneur, and author, who notoriously turned down an offer from the Sharks to acquire one of his companies. Through his many business ventures, Aaron has accumulated valuable knowledge on how to innovate and attract, engage, and retain top talent, which he now shares with leading clients, such as Ritz-Carlton, Microsoft, Deloitte, Wells Fargo, and the UnitedHealth Group. He also presently serves as the youngest faculty member at the University of California, Haas School of Business, where he teaches a course on entrepreneurship. As such, Aaron is highly qualified to speak on innovation, entrepreneurship, leadership, generational workplace, and talent acquisition.
An alumnus of the University of California, Berkeley, Aaron earned a business degree before joining AT&T’s flagship Leadership Development Program. He rapidly rose within the ranks, becoming one of the youngest Regional Vice Presidents at AT&T, at 27 years of age. During his time there, he attained the rank of the top 1% of regional sales managers worldwide and became a Diamond Club honouree for his efforts. Over the next few years, Aaron would go on to start several businesses, including Pong360, Tycoon and Access, all of which have now been acquired. One of those ventures was featured on ABC’s Shark Tank, receiving offers from the Sharks, which Aaron turned down, demonstrating his astute business knowledge and confidence.
Recently he Co-founded 10X Innovation Lab, an educational, entrepreneurial innovation company, helping aspiring entrepreneurs and founders leverage emerging technologies and adapt to the shifting workforce. He is also the Co-founder and Managing Partner of Velocity Capital Group, a multi-family real estate fund. Translating his vast entrepreneurial knowledge into distinguished books, Aaron is The Wall Street Journal and National Bestselling author of Global Class, which was also compiled from 300 interviews of the world’s leading executives. He is also the proud author of The Young Professional’s Guide to Managing and The Young Professional’s Guide to the Working World.
