Angela Barnes is an award winning British comedian from London, that uses her own everyday life as inspiration for her shows with hilarious results. At the start of her career, Barnes ran comedy nights in Brighton and took part in a 12 week workshop in standup, which she used as experience to get her started in the comedy industry. She has also developed her own series with BBC Radio Comedy, and performed at the Latitude Festival, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and BBC Radio 2’s Live in Hyde Park. In 2011, Angela was nominated and won BBC Radio 2’s New Comedy Award. In 2018, Angela led the setting up of The Home Safe Collective, a free cab service for comedians at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to ensure vulnerable members get home safe, after the murder of Australian comedian Eurydice Dixon.
