Katie Derham


An extremely well known and popular radio presenter, Katie Derham is one of the UK’s leading broadcasters. Now she’s one of the best known voices on BBC Radio 3. Previous roles saw her broadcasting news and current affairs. Katie has been the face of the BBC Proms since 2010 while hosting the weekly magazine show, Proms Extra. Katie’s career started as a fifteen year run in news and current affairs this saw her work for BBC as well as ITV News’ where she became the youngest ever newsreader. This was aired on BBC with a purpose to explore the story behind Brazil’s most famous and enduring song.

In 2015 Katie became a contestant on one of the UK’s most viewed shows, Strictly Come Dancing. Katie won the viewers over and reached the final before going on to be crowned as the Strictly Christmas champion. From 2016 to 2017 Katie was also a host for BBC Four’s All Together Now: The Great Orchestra Challenge and Sky Arts Fine Tuned.

As a presenter and broadcaster Katie has a wealth of experience when it comes to entertaining and engaging an audience whether it’s for a public appearance, event host or an after dinner speaker. Katie is no stranger to hosting big events having hosted the BRIT Awards ceremony four times an event that reaches around 4.5 million viewers. With her previous career as a business journalist combined with her economics degree Katie is very popular speaker within the corporate world.
