Colin Gregor is Scotland 7s most capped internationalist and had the privilege of captaining Scotland 7s teams from 2009 – 2014. He is the 3rd highest points scorer in Sevens history having played in 58 IRB Sevens World Series tournaments. Other highlights of his 7s career include three World Cups and two Commonwealth Games, captaining the Scotland team at Glasgow 2014. He was forced to retire with a knee injury in 2015. One rather unusual personal legacy is a mural of him painted on a tenement building in Glasgow.
During his illustrious 12-year rugby career Colin also played 130 games for the Glasgow Warriors, including a spell as captain. Since retiring Colin has worked with BBC Scotland (Television & Radio) and Sky Sports: in the studio, on a live broadcast and on panel discussions. He has created a performance consultancy company specialising in individual and team performance, leadership and teamwork development. The consultancy’s seminars and workshops focus on leadership, conflict in teams, building a successful team and developing a positive culture. He is also Scotland’s General Team Manager for the 2017 Youth Commonwealth Games.
Colin is comfortable speaking at dinners and making presentations at conferences. His many anecdotes from his illustrious rugby career and work provide entertaining and humorous after dinner tales while his conference presentations concentrate on teamwork, motivation, leadership and positivity – how to achieve the best. He personalises his speeches and presentations to suit your event and guests. His relaxed style helps create an enjoyable and positive atmosphere for the audience. He is also adept at facilitating conferences.
