Timandra acquired her degrees after establishing her career as a Broadcaster for the BBC. She possesses a BSc in Mathematics & Statistics from The Open University and an MA in Philosophy from the University of London. Outside her academic success, Timandra has hosted 'FutureProofing’, ‘Steelmanning’ and ‘Five Knots’ on BBC Radio 4. As a talented writer, she has written and directed radio, short film and live performance scripts, of which her comedy play ‘No Future in Eternity’ was broadcast on BBC Radio 4. Timandra’s writing on risk, futurism and technology has also been published in Telegraph, Sunday Times, The Guardian and Evening Standard to name a few. In 2013, she served as the Resident Reporter for BBC Radio 4's The Human Zoo series.

She is also a Member of the RSS Council, RSS Data Ethics and Governance sections.
