Tim Papandreou

Tim Papandreou is the Founder and CEO of Emerging Transport Advisors, a specialist consultancy providing investors, companies, and governments with advice on how to prepare for the shared electric automated (SEA) changes rapidly approaching the transport industry. Highly educated, Tim earned his bachelor's degree in Science, Urban and Regional Planning from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and then completed his master’s degree in Urban Planning at the University of California Los Angeles. He began his professional career with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority where he spent over eight years working in the roles of Transportation Project Manager and Transportation Planning Manager. This was followed by the role of Assistant Deputy Director, Director of Strategic Planning Policy, and Chief Innovation Officer/ Director Office of Innovation at the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency.

Having developed extensive experience in the fields of urban mobility, technology, sustainability, social equity and climate action principles, Tim went on to lead key strategic partnerships at Google X Moonshot Factory, where he was involved in working on projects relating to humankind’s most pressing problems. Using cutting-edge technologies and methodologies he was able to build new pathways to market vital innovation projects.  Furthermore, Tim was a key member of the founding team behind Waymo, which was responsible for the world’s first self-driving robotaxi, trucking and delivery vehicle system.
