Thom Evans is a former international rugby union player turned model and media personality from Scotland. Known as the former wing for Glasgow Warriors, Evans is a highly regarded and sought after name as a speaker for a variety of corporate events and functions across the UK.
During his rugby career, Thom was capped to play for the Scottish national team on 10 occasions. He also made two appearances for London Wasps and also contributed to 60 games for Glasgow Warriors. Notably, he played in the national sevens teams for both Scotland and England in 2007 and 2005 respectively.
During a Six Nations match against Wales in 2010, Evans sustained an extremely severe neck injury which almost took his life. Merely escaping paralysis, he was advised to retire from rugby in which he announced after a test match in the Autumn Internationals 2010.
Since the end of his rugby career, Thom has made an extreme comeback and has ventured into athletics where he achieved fourth in the Scottish Senior Championships and has also dived into a career in acting. He has also made various media appearances including providing commentary for the 2011 Rugby World Cup, competing on Strictly Come Dancing, Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls and The X Factor: Celebrity.
