Stephen McDonell

Stephen McDonell is a journalist and news correspondent who has reported for some of the globes top news corporations. Reporting from all over the globe, Stephen has informed audiences on the global affairs happening in the world and built a strong following as a reporter. He is widely known for working with news channel ABC.

Over the past decade, Stephen McDonell has been reporting on a wide variety of news stories in China as the China Correspondent for ABC News. Throughout his time with ABC Stephen has spoken on a diverse range of topics, from natural disasters such as earthquakes and typhoons to economic booms and corruption in the colossal country. His reporting has also seen him cover events such as the MH17 crash located in Ukraine, the Japanese tsunami and the Typhoon Haiyan to name but a few.

Traversing mountains, crashing cars, encountering local thugs and seeing tigers up close, Stephen has experienced the extraordinary during his days as a reporter. He has also encountered tales of great sadness as a reporter, providing coverage of earthquakes when victims have been pulled from the rubble.
