Richard Tyler is the Chief Possibility Architect, also best selling author and international speaker, he’s best known for his influence on organisations and for writing Jolt, a book that promotes self development and focuses on how to bring art and psychological theories into development within businesses.
With aims to break the cycle of the way that companies think, Richard says that “good is no longer good enough.” He believes businesses should design their workplace in such a way that employees feel they can flourish in their environment and be at maximum productivity. With over 15 years alongside his BTFI team, he has become an expert in Artful Leadership, which is the combination of psychology, arts and leadership within an organisation to promote creativity and different mindsets when facing challenges.
In his early life, Richard graduated from Guildford Conservatorie with the Principal’s Award for outstanding achievement. He also sang in venues across the globe and appeared as a lead role in West End productions such as The Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables. He now brings the skills he learnt in his acting career, including writing narratives and engaging audiences, to his new venture within corporate environments. His time within musical art inspired his mission to adapt the regular model of building teams in organisations to building ensembles instead, an idea where power, work and responsibilities are evenly distributed through all employees.
He has trained in Cognitive Hypnotherapy, CBT, Barrett Cultural Transformation, NLP and Emotional Intelligence which he uses to combine with his Artful Leadership expertise to compose effective corporate programmes which have now been adopted by big brands such as Tesco and the BBC. Effectively he wants entire organisations to strive for extraordinary and to know their purpose. Richard believes this will lead to profitable businesses and happy employees, hence, loyal customers.
Richard has delivered motivational speeches to companies worldwide, he uses tough love, challenge and fun to promote sustainable development in businesses as well as including some light hearted songs from his time in the West End, an entertaining yet interesting and inspiring keynote speaker.
