In 2016, Reem attended the United Arab Emirates University to earn a degree in Chemical Engineering. During her studies, she served as a Research Assistant and went on exchange to the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she was selected as an ambassador for higher education and undertook sustainability, entrepreneurship, and diplomacy training. After completing her degree, Reem joined the Masdar Institute for Science and Technology to attend the Future Sustainability Leaders Programme.
Gaining experience as a Technical Expert & Workshop Manager at WorldSkills International and the Technology Development & Transfer Department at Emirates Global Aluminum, Reem joined the Al-Futtaim group as an Energy Engineer in 2022. As someone who is heavily involved in training entrepreneurship and providing development initiatives for youths, Reem has been recognised in the sector of youth achievement by the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf. She has attended several prestigious events, including GITEX YouthX Unpreneur (UAE’s biggest and first-of-its-kind youth entrepreneurship event), Challenge, Dubai Metavator and the UAE Hackathon, among others.
For her distinguished work in tech entrepreneurship, Reem has been featured in Entrepreneur Middle East, Entrepreneurs EOGSEA and Arab Excellence. She has also made an appearance on the Sagav Podcast with Bader Amin and Sara Mohammad. Representing the future of tech entrepreneurship, Reem is an emerging figure in AI.
