The Inclusive Culture was created in the bid to help organisations achieve their diversity, inclusion and business goals through effective employee networks. The World In Her Words empowers women to take control of their careers through sharing strategies, expert advice, and inspirational stories. Aisha is also widely known for her part in founding and leading Amazon’s Black Employee Network (BEN) in the UK and building the network into an organization that now has a significant impact on Amazon’s diversity and inclusion strategy.
During her time leading the network, Aisha was instrumental in organizing the first race and ethnicity conference focusing on Europe, oversaw the launch of a Student Mentorship Program for Black and Ethnic Minority students, a talent development program for employees, and collaborated with the Alexa team to develop products to teach Black History to customers.
After achieving a B.Com in Human Resource Management and an MA in Management and Leadership, Aisha started her career in HR and in 2016, Aisha was recruited by Amazon Web Services as a Recruitment Coordinator. Progressing through the company, Aisha became an Education Program Manager, overseeing a global program that helps students gain skills in cloud computing.
Aisha is also an #Iamremarkable Facilitator and is currently an Inclusion Board Member of The Rugby Football League. In this role, Aisha supports the delivery of The Rugby Football League’s Inclusion, Equality and Anti-Discrimination Plan, provides guidance on all Inclusion matters in Rugby League and monitors the delivery of the Plan. In reward of her commitments to diversity and inclusion, Aisha has been honoured with recognition on the Investing in Ethnicity Top 8 Future Leaders 2018 list and the EMpower 100 Ethnic Minority Future Leaders 2020.
