Rebekah Lloyd is an inspirational women’s health and careers expert, speaker, and consultant. Best known as the Founder of This Independent Life, Rebekah is a committed businesswoman and UN woman UK delegate. Building her career from the ground up, Rebekah started her platform with the hope that she could advance the future of women’s health, whilst also helping individuals achieve health, wealth, and fulfilment. Using her passion for women’s health, Rebekah is now highly sought after as a keynote speaker on wellbeing, sharing her lived experiences.
After experiencing a difficult period in which burnout and chronic pain controlled her life, Rebekah realised she wasn’t alone and decided to turn her prior experiences into an opportunity to help others. Since being diagnosed with endometriosis ten years after the initial symptoms, Rebekah started a support group called Endo, so what? From here, she began hosting talks, workshops, and events for her own company as well as for leading organisations such as the University of Cambridge, STEMettes, and General Assembly.
Since turning her difficult life experiences into a successful business venture, Rebekah now hosts a podcast also called This Independent Life that boasts candid conversations, inspiring stories and practical advice from a multitude of founders and leaders. Her company also offers one-to-one coaching sessions, aiming to understand and identify individual challenges relating to health and career in an efficient manner. Numerous virtual and in-person events take place each year which Rebekah often leads, offering talks, workshops, roundtables and panels. With clients like Barclays, UNiDAYS, Whistles, the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge, and Imperial College London, Rebekah is committed to utilising business purely for good. As a result of her work, which was aired internationally on the BBC, she was requested to advise the UK Parliament Women and Equalities Committee on the Government Women's Health Inquiry. She also hosts an annual patient-centred, unique conference on the Future of Endometriosis.
Alongside her organisation, The Independent Life, Rebekah helps young people understand how to achieve independence on their own terms. When hired as an empowering keynote speaker, Rebekah is revered for her detailed speeches on everything from work, career, finances and money to self-help and mental health struggles.
