Person Irresponsible, is a moniker that a woman in her 40s who decided to embark on a journey across the Pacific Crest Trail has given herself. Her fascination with adventure began when Person Irresponsible read that 44 is the age at which most women face a mid-life crisis. As someone who had just turned 44, she did not like that it was almost as if people expected women’s lives to be restricted to passive tasks such as playing sudoku or knitting. Hence she decided she would do something more exciting with her life.

She decided to embark on the magnificent Pacific Crest Trail, walking from Mexico to Canada, living in tents, and skilfully avoiding bears, rattlesnakes, avalanches and other human beings. After 6 months, Person Irresponsible returned to England and authored “Everything You Ever Taught Me”, a book that details her unique experiences. In 2023, Person Irresponsible also wrote “Everywhere I Never Wanted to Go: But I Did Anyway”.
