Pav Gill

Pav Gill brought the world’s attention to the infamous Wirecard scandal – a series of account malpractices and corruption in business. Founder & CEO of The Confide Platform, Pav has created a system that allows organisations to confidentially receive, investigate and resolve risks. With an LLB degree from the National University of Singapore, Pav worked as an Associate for Allen & Overy, Clifford Chance & King & Spalding. Through these roles, Pav was able to develop his skills in banking, finance, negotiation, corporate law and international capital markets. After serving as Senior Legal Counsel for GoBear, Pav joined Wirecard as its first Head of Legal for the Asia-Pacific region. Soon after joining the organisation, Pav was alerted to instances of intentional misleading of auditors by Wirecard. Pav launched a discreet investigation which was shut down when the board of directors caught wind. Despite leaving Wirecard, Pav was harassed in countless ways which led to him ultimately blowing the whistle on the results of his investigation.

It was discovered that a sum of €1.9 billion was fraudulently declared as profits to auditors when in reality they never existed. Pav was a crucial part of why Wirecard was brought to justice and collapsed into insolvency in 2020. Since then, Pav has worked in numerous key roles including APAC Counsel for Wise, Senior Legal Counsel for BigPay, and Chief Legal Officer for Zipmex. In this role he grew the Zipmex Risk & Compliance team from 0 to 30. Today, Pav is dedicated to providing organisations with an integrity hub and total compliance platform – Confide Platform.

For his extraordinary work and bravery in unveiling the Wirecard scandal, Pav has been recognised with the Blueprint for Free Speech Special Recognition award & ACFE Cliff Robertson Sentinel Award.
