Patrik Lindberg

Swedish professional gamer, Patrik Lindberg, known as f0rest in the industry, is famous for being the long-standing champion of shooter game Counter-Strike. His dominance in the game is respected worldwide and his abilities are unrivalled. A professional gamer is the dream job for many, including f0rest, who engages audiences with not only his intricate knowledge of the game but also the ups and downs of his journey to the top. Introduced to Counter-Strike as a youth in 2000, f0rest invested hours of his time playing the game.

He soon joined Seadogs and D00m clans before getting a spot on sponsored team Virtual Experience Online (VxO). After a brief success in the team ‘Embrace’, which saw the beginning of f0rest getting noticed as a player, he moved to Begrip where he made his international debut in 2005. From his debut, f0rest was recognised as a serious gamer, and in 2005 he was nominated for the Esports Newcomer of the Year award and Best Counter-Strike Player.

In 2006 he left Begrip and permanently joined Fnatic where the team won the Cyberathelete League Championship and f0rest personally won the Esports 2006 Bester Counter-Strike Player Award. Most recently f0rest has found success with his transition in 2012 to Counter-Strike Global Offensive by joining the team Ninjas in Pyjamas. Since his move, Ninjas in Pyjamas have reached the final of the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournaments every year between 2012 and 2015.

The team also had an unbeaten winning streak of 87 matches in a row at LAN events. Esports has risen in popularity due to talented players such as f0rest gaining global recognition. An expert in competitive gaming and the world’s best Counter-strike player, f0rest will engage audiences with his passion for the sport, but less obviously, he will also share his experience of working well in a team and life after the success.
