Oti Mabuse

Oti Mabuse is a celebrated Latin American and ballroom dancer, television presenter, and choreographer, best known for her dazzling performances on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing and her expert judging roles on The Greatest Dancer and ITV’s Dancing on Ice. With her natural charisma, infectious energy, and sharp wit, Oti is in high demand as a keynote speaker, event host, and charity ambassador. Oti’s dance career began in South Africa, where she won the title of South African Latin American Champion an extraordinary eight times. Determined to expand her horizons, she relocated to Germany, competing on Let’s Dance and achieving major European titles, including first place in the German Championship PD Freestyle Latin. In 2015, Oti made her debut on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, quickly becoming a fan favourite thanks to her creative choreography and ability to bring out the best in her celebrity partners. She made history by winning two consecutive series, first in 2019 with Kelvin Fletcher and then in 2020 with Bill Bailey, becoming the only professional dancer in the show’s history to achieve back-to-back victories.

Beyond the dancefloor, Oti has established herself as a respected and versatile television personality. She joined the judging panel on ITV’s Dancing on Ice in 2022, where her sharp eye for choreography and supportive feedback have made her a standout judge. She has also hosted several popular television programmes, including Romeo & Duet and Oti Mabuse’s Breakfast Show on ITV1. During the UK’s national lockdown in 2020, Oti lifted spirits across the country by offering free online dance classes, bringing positivity and movement to households when it was most needed. Additionally, she is the author of the successful children’s book series Dance with Oti, encouraging young readers to embrace dance, movement, and self-expression.

In 2024, Oti took on a new challenge as a contestant on I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, finishing in an impressive fourth place. Her kindness, humour, and determination shone throughout her time in the jungle, and she won over a new generation of fans by taking part in the iconic Celebrity Cyclone challenge.
