Champion Latin dancer, AJ Pritchard is the impressive young professional who stole the spotlight on Strictly Come Dancing with his various celebrity partners over the years. Garnering much attention for his talent and cheeky chappy personality, AJ has become a regular feature of the mainstream media, with demand seeing him appear on reality television and headlining tours. Joining the professional cast of Strictly Come Dancing in 2016, AJ thrived in his role as a choreographer and dancer, paired with new celebrity each season. After placing in the semi-finals in his inaugural season with Claudia Fragapane, AJ’s reputation soared amongst viewers and on the dancing circuit, and his continued success in series 15, 16, and 17, no matter this partner, proved his versatility in the ballroom. Tasked with choreographing a new 90-second dance routine each week, AJ’s flair for creativity across all genres of dance, from the Foxtrot to the Tango, ensured he secured an average score of 29.73 across his four series on the show.

A dancer since the age of twelve, AJ has been honing his craft for decades, and his impressive youth results were evidence of his later distinguished career. Achieving first place in the National Youth Latin Championships 2012 with his long-term dancer partner Chloe Hewitt, the pair repeated the feat for 2014 and 2015. Backed by his European Youth Latin Championship win, AJ auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent in his dance duo, going on the reach the 2013 final of the talent competition.

With an established platform in the media, AJ has pursued several new ventures in his career, including presenting and celebrity appearances. Chosen to participate in Celebrity MasterChef, Celebrity Hunted and as a choreographer on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, AJ has proven a popular celebrity for television, and has expanded his reach as a talented act. He appaeared on the 2020 series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! and is set to take to the stage alongside his brother, Curtis Pritchard, in AJ Live 2021 as the headline dance show booked to tour the UK. Most recently, AJ starred in the 2022 series of SAS: Who Dares Wins?
