Matt McFadyen is a highly respected senior executive working within the leadership and talent space. On a mission to create high-performance teams who can operate successfully within the ever-changing corporate industry, his work over recent years has inspired positive change throughout a wide range of organisations. Alongside his corporate work, Matt is also a record-breaking polar adventurer who has been part of and led teams to some of the most challenging environments on the planet, including the North Pole and the Antarctic. An inspiration to audiences globally, Matt is now a popular speaker for events of all kinds.
In 2004, Matt set sail in a 43-foot yacht bound for Antarctica at the age of 22 alongside four like-minded individuals. Determined to complete the 54-day expedition, the crew began sailing across one of the most dangerous oceans in the world, The Great Southern Ocean. Pushing his mental and physical resilience to the extremes, they faced several storms during their voyage and faced a near-fatal capsize on their return. Faced with a fifty-foot wall of water which exploded onto the boat, the crew were thrown over the side of the boat one thousand miles from land and experienced a situation that changed Matt's life forever. Following his return, Matt became the youngest Australian to reach the North Pole, an achievement which proved that his previous expedition had only pushed him to be the best version of himself.
Utilising his experiences as an adventurer to inspire his leadership work, Matt has become a leading authority in his field. Developing a keen passion for helping people reach peak performance in the workplace, he has fulfilled a wide range of influential roles throughout his career, including becoming a Lead Facilitator for Peak Teams, and an EVP of Client Experience at The AIP Group. An empowering figure for audiences globally, Matt is now sharing his in-depth industry knowledge and experiences with audiences of all ages and backgrounds at speaking events. Having worked with high-profile clients such as Unilever, HP, Nestle, and VISA over recent years, his successful career journey is treasured throughout the community.
