Levison Wood

For over a decade, Levison Wood has established himself as a respected professional explorer, TV presenter, photographer, and best-selling author of twelve books, covering stories and events in over 120 countries worldwide. His eight critically-acclaimed television series, which have featured on international networks like Channel 4, Discovery, and Amazon, have solidified his position as "Britain's best-loved adventurer", as acclaimed by The Times. He is known for his grand, daring ideas and for having gone where few have gone before.

Before his career in travel documentaries, Levison served as an Officer in the British Regiment, which saw him fight against Taliban insurgents in Zabul, Helmand, and Kandahar. He served in the Parachute Regiment, being deployed on operations and exercises across five continents. To date, Levison still serves as a reservist in the British Army in 77X Brigade and is an elected Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and The Explorers Club.

No stranger to epic adventure and exploration, Levison's groundbreaking expeditions include walking the entire length of the River Nile, walking the length of the Himalayas from Afghanistan to Bhutan, and walking the length of Central America from Mexico to Colombia. He has also crossed the Caucasus, circumnavigated the Arabian Peninsula, and followed the migration and conservation of elephants in Botswana. His latest critically-acclaimed three-part Channel 4 series, 'Levison Wood: Walking with...', which aired in August 2023, focused on tracking down iconic but endangered animals such as orangutans, desert lions, and polar bears. He has also released a motivational book, The Art of Exploration, which delves into developing an 'explorer's mindset'.

An incredible and highly sought-after speaker, Levison entertains people worldwide with his stories of exploration and adventure, drawing on his experiences as both a soldier and a global explorer. He is an experienced public speaker, having completed five UK-wide theatre speaking tours, including his recent "The Art of Exploration" tour.
