Former English rugby union player, Mark Regan has gained the attention of the nation through his esteemed career playing for a number of rugby teams and the England national team. Mark had his first breakthrough in the rugby world in 1995, replacing Brian Moore in the match when South Africa came to play at Twickenham. This debut was quite important for Mark, claiming the title of the first player to make his England debut during the professional era of rugby union. Although England lost in this match, Mark managed to impress officials and secure himself a part on the team for the 1996 and 1997 Five Nations Championships.
In 1997 Mark was also selected for the British and Irish Lions tour to Australia, getting to play in the final test. After returning from the tour he had unfortunately been replaced on the England team, and went to play with Bath rugby. He played a key role in the match that Bath played at the Heineken Cup where they were victorious over Brive. Despite losing favour with the England coach, Mark continued to gain fame with Bath when he played in the season challenge of the Allied Dunbar Premiership. Due to his performance for Bath, Mark was voted Bath Forward of the Year. Mark was given the chance to return to the England team in 2000, appearing on the tour of South Africa.
On this tour Mark performed the best that he had done in his career, subsequently earning himself a position in the Autumn Internationals. In 2002 Mark joined a new team, the Leeds Tykes. His debut for the team came on the opening day of the 2002-03 season, playing in the match against Leicester Tigers.
His move to Leeds proved to be very successful, gaining him the approval of the public and seeing him being selected for the 2003 Rugby World Cup. Mark claimed that he would retire from international rugby in 2004, however in 2007 he came out of retirement to play in the tour of South Africa. Due to his performance in that tour he was selected to play in the 2007 Rugby World Cup, as well as the 2008 Six Nations Championships. Mark is now properly retired from the sport, and now acts as a Forwards coach coaching at Clifton Rugby Club. Also in his retirement Mark has taken up rugby speaking, providing entertainment and inspiring after dinner tales at a number of different corporate events. Mark is able to use his personal experiences to his advantage, using them to inspire the next generation to follow in his footsteps.

"Please let me extend my thanks and appreciation to Mark for Saturday night. I can honestly say in my thirty years of hosting corporate events Mark "Ronnie" Regan was the most engaging , amusing , knowledgeable and colourful character we have ever commissioned. Our guests said it was the finest outing ever and all commented on what a legend Mark was. As an added bonus he bought the likes of Neil Back and Mike Tindall to the table for photo's and he clearly was a very popular character in the English ranks. Moving forward I would be more than happy to provide this testimonial to any future potential clients. Thanks again for this awesome recommendation." - Jean, SpeakOut
"What a great choice Mark was, he was fully interactive with everyone and delivered a fantastic talk. The talk was funny and informative which meant that he had very few questions. He spoke to most members through the night, which again meant everyone felt they had met and spoken to a true legend. Mark a big thanks to you and hope to be able to use you again in the future." - Rochford Hundred Rugby Club
