Mark Cavendish is one of the world’s leading professional road racing cyclists, currently signed to ride for the Deceuninck-Quick-Step UCI WorldTeam. Outside of competing, Mark launched the Rise Above Sportive, a cycling event held in Chester and North Wales back in 2015. He has also been honoured with the appointment of MBE for Services to British Cycling, named as the 2011 BBC Sports Personality of the Year and been awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Science by the University of Chester for Contributions to Cycling. He has also released two books titled Boy Racer and At Speed. Most recently, in 2023, Mark was the star of Netflix's Mark Cavendish: Never Enough - a film that depicts Mark's 'rise, fall and resurrection' as the 'most exciting cyclist ever'.
