Lucy Kay is an outstanding classical crossover singer, best known for finishing runner-up on Britain’s Got Talent in 2014. After being encouraged to apply for Britain’s Got Talent, Lucy reached the final of the competition and finished in second place. She released her debut album ‘Fantasia’, which reached 18th on the Official Albums Chart and number 1 on the classical albums chart. Branching out into musical theatre, she has performed in major productions such as Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat UK tour and Carmen in TriOperas in the West End. Growing her music catalogue, Lucy released her second album ‘Dark Angel’ in 2021, blending classical music with rock and pop influences.
Building a successful career as a singer, she has performed at many high-profile events, including a private dinner held at Windsor Castle for members of the royal family, the 350th Anniversary of the Royal Navy celebration with Her Majesty’s Royal Marines band, the FA Cup Final at Wembley and One for the Boys hosted by Samuel L. Jackson. Her talent has also been recognised within the industry, performing alongside Aled Jones, Katherine Jenkins and Gregory Porter in the BBC's Big Sing at the Royal Albert Hall and was personally requested to perform with Andrea Bocelli on his UK Arena Tour. Having a widespread appeal, she has over 1 billion social media views and has sold 50,000 tickets across her UK tours. As a recognition of her work in musical theatre, she received a nomination for Best Emerging Actress at the IARA Awards.
