Aled Jones

Former chorister turned radio and television presenter, Aled Jones, is a charming addition to a wide range of events. Making his acting debut in 1990, Aled first performed in the adaption How Green Was My Valley at Northampton's Royal Theatre. In 1995, marking a shift toward the limelight, he starred in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat at the Blackpool Wintergardens Opera. From there, Aled continued his successful theatre career, as well as released two autobiographies, Aled: The Autobiography and Aled Jones: My Story, and his album, Aled. In 2004, after presenting Chatterbox on British television, he appeared on Strictly Come Dancing, marking his transition to a wider audience. Aled remains one of the main presenters on Songs of Praise on BBC One, as well as appearances on The One Show, Daybreak and Good Morning Britain. As a testament to his legion of fans and popular career, Aled has received several accolades. Amongst others, he was awarded the 2009 ASCA Gold Badge Award, made an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music in 2014 and was appointed OBE in 2014.
