Linda Moir is best known for her role as Head of Event Services at the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games. A venerable customer service expert, she currently works with numerous high-profile organisations as a consultant to facilitate the best quality of customer service as possible, in her role as Owner of Putneyred. She has worked with globally renowned organisations such as Ikea, Porsche, Bupa, Capital One, and O2 to name a few. Linda possesses an MA in People Management and Industrial Relations from the University of Westminster and soon after she achieved this, she worked as Head of Cabin Service at British Airtours. Linda has worked with someone the biggest airlines including as Head of HR at British Airways and as Director of Customer Service at Virgin Atlantic Airways. Appointed by Sir Richard Branson, Linda’s main responsibility was to ‘make flying fun’ and she was able to coach and develop a high-performing management team that helped Virgin Atlantic become an award-winning on-board service.
In 2009, Linda joined as the Head of Event Services for the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games. Heading a staff of 20 and 15000 volunteers, Linda was key to making the games a resounding success. Linda is of the firm opinion that an engaged workforce is an incredibly valuable asset in times of cost-cutting and low margins, now more than ever.
