As for her educational accolades, Lee has a BSE in Electrical Engineering from Duke University and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pennsylvania. In her 30 year-long career in the legal profession, she served as an Associate and later as Partner of Covington & Burling LLP. Through her role, Lee was the Co-Chair of the Global and Multi-disciplinary AI initiative, counselling organisations on matters related to technology and digital transformation.
Having served on the Biden Campaign Policy Committee, she is also a member of the CEIMIA Board of Directors and is on the Editorial Board of the Journal for AI Regulation. She has also written extensively on AI, data and emerging technology and contributed to the forthcoming casebook “The Law of Artificial Intelligence”.
An expert on all things related to data governance, policy, intellectual property, regulatory, transactions and corporate matters, Lee has spoken for the Council on Foreign Relations, the Federal Judicial Center, the National Judicial College, the OECD, GPAI, WIPO, and COP-27.
