Beginning her career in media, Kumutha served as a news anchor, reporter and producer for a range of stations such as CP24, CTV Winnipeg and CKX Television. She joined CBC in a similar role before moving to CTV News as a full-time reporter and producer. In 2015, she became a business correspondent and news presenter for World Finance, European CEO and The New Economy, further strengthening her communication and storytelling abilities. In 2015, she joined Bloomberg as a reporter and producer for several years before becoming an On-Air Reporter and writer for Yahoo Finance UK, further helping to expand her aptitude in the financial, tech and macroeconomics spheres. After her time at Yahoo, she returned to Bloomberg, this time operating as a financial markets television reporter at BNN Bloomberg, leading influential business news coverage, analysing monetary policy, global economics and emerging technology trends. In 2024, Kumutha founded and currently serves as CEO of The Summit Group, where she uses her lived experience in the financial and media industries to build strategy and thriving frameworks for leaders looking to succeed in high-stakes environments. She is also currently a finance columnist for The Canadian Press.
