Jürgen Klopp is highly celebrated as one of the best football managers in the world, having led Liverpool FC, Borussia Dortmund, and Mainz 05 to victory throughout his career. But first, he played for Mainz 05 himself back in the 90s, initially as a striker and then as a defender. He is currently Red Bull GmbH’s Head of Global Football. As a speaker, Jürgen brings his famous charisma for a compelling session, sharing his personal anecdotes and innovative tactics for success.
From 1987, for the first few years of his career, Jürgen played for 1. FC Pforzheim, Eintracht Frankfurt II, Viktoria Sindlingen, and Rot-Weiss Frankfurt, following this with spending 11 years on the Mainz 05 team. When he retired from playing football in 2001, Jürgen made the switch to manager of Mainz 05, a position that he held for seven years, during which time he led the club to Germany’s top tier for the first time in its history (2003-2004). 2008 saw Jürgen become manager of Borussia Dortmund, for which he oversaw its win of the DFB-Pokal (German Cup) (2011-2012), its running up in the UEFA Champions League (2012-2013), and two consecutive Bundesliga title wins (2010-2011 and 2011-2012).
It was in 2015 that Jürgen became manager of Liverpool FC for nine years. He spearheaded the team’s sixth European Cup win (2018-2019), its win of the FA Cup (2019), its first top-flight Premier League title in 30 years, with a club record of 99 points (2019-2022), and its win of the EFL Cup (2023-2024). During this time, he was praised as Best FIFA Men's Coach for two years in a row (2019 and 2020), as well as BBC's Sports Coach of the Year (2020), World's Best Club Coach by International Federation of Football History & Statistics (2019), and Premier League Manager of the Season (2019-2020 and 2021-2022), among others. Most recently, he was awarded Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany (Bundesverdienstkreuz) in 2024 for his services to football, both in Germany and internationally.
As a dynamic and successful leader and engaging communicator, Jürgen makes an exceptional choice for those seeking an inspiring speaker. He is renowned for his motivational prowess, and his discussion of his lived experiences and perspectives provide valuable lessons to inspire and guide audiences to thrive, no matter their field.
