English Paralympian, Jonathan Peacock MBE, has inspired many through his dedication and passion for his athletic career. After having his right leg amputated at the age of 5, Jonnie has worked hard to overcome many obstacles and is now the holder of two Gold Paralympic Medals and an incredible reputation throughout the sporting industry. When hired, Jonnie will enlighten an audience with his story and how he was able to get to where he is today.
In 1998, Jonnie contracted meningitis, which resulted in him having his right leg amputated. Having originally been interested in Football, Jonnie was directed into a paralympic sports day, and shortly after took up athletics at 16. His first international race was at the 2012 Paralympic World Cup and a year later, he set the world record for the 100-metre event for amputees with a time of 10.85 seconds. Jonnie continued to win two gold medals at the 2012 Summer Paralympics and the 2016 Summer Paralympics and has been a strong competitor ever since
One of the highlights of Jonnie's career was in 2016 when he was appointed with an MBE for his service to athletics. Alongside his athletics career, Jonnie has also been part of multiple television appearances, including Strictly Come Dancing, Hollyoaks and a Netflix Documentary called ‘Rising Phoenix.’ His newest television appearance was in his series ‘Jonnie's Blade Camp’ which was screened on Channel 4 in 2021.
