Jonathan Olufowobi is a global leader, international speaker & the current CEO of MIPAD, Most Influential People of African Descent. A United Nations-aligned organisation, MIPAD celebrates trailblazing figures of African descent worldwide. Having worked with presidents, CEOs, diplomats, and entrepreneurs, Jonathan has dedicated himself to helping individuals achieve opportunity, impact and legacy.
Completing his master’s degree in international business at the University of York, Jonathan joined MIPAD as a research intern, becoming Research Lead just five months later. In 2022, he served as an SDR for Watchmycomputer.com before joining GRAYCE as a Senior Project Analyst. During this time, Jonathan became the Global Head of Research at MIPAD, through which he identified influential people worldwide for the first and second International Decade for People of African Descent as announced by the United Nations. In 2024, Jonathan, at just age 25, was appointed CEO of MIPAD, leading global initiatives that highlight the incredible work of professionals of African descent by securing strategic partnerships and conducting recognition events to uplift and connect.
Collecting his knowledge and wisdom, Jonathan published his book ‘Tips from the Top’, which dives into his years of engaging with top global leaders with interviews from insightful figures across the world. Sharing lessons on success and purpose, Jonathan’s book is an Amazon Top 10 book in the Career Advancement and Professional Development category, a testament to the book’s impactful content. As a result of his groundbreaking work, Jonathan has been featured in a range of media, including The Voice Online.
A visionary voice in leadership, Jonathan helps changemakers unlock greater influence by developing high-value relationship-building, identifying Africa’s youth and talent stationed worldwide, and navigating efficient, human-centred approaches in the age of AI.
