Jon French

Jon French has worked a decorated career as a senior leader, branching across the industries of telecommunications and consumer electronics. Renowned in his most recent appointment as the Managing Director of Android Global Business for Google, Jon has also demonstrated his proficiency as the General Manager of Microsoft Asia Pacific and the Vice President of the Middle East and Africa for HTC. Jon has experience across a range of businesses as a Chairman and non-executive director at some of the world's most recognisable brands. Now highly sought after as a keynote speaker, Jon shares his inside knowledge of everything from the Internet of Things and digital transformation to consumer tech trends, innovation and the implementation of artificial intelligence. 

Having built a reputation as a leader in the world of telecommunications and consumer tech, Jon’s now illustrious career began working as a General Manager for Samsung Electronics. After six years with Samsung, Jon was recruited as the Executive Director of the UK and Ireland for HTC, working his way through the ranks to later become the Vice President of Sales & Operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and finally the Vice President of the Middle East and Africa for HTC. Proving his expertise as a telecommunications leader, Jon spent a brief period working as the International Sales Director for Beats by Dr Dre, before being appointed as the Vice President of the Middle East for Microsoft. Working in Dubai, Jon’s time with Microsoft concluded as the General Manager of Microsoft Asia Pacific. 

Following his time at Microsoft, Jon continued pursuing prominent roles, including being the Vice President of Western Europe Global Accounts and a B2B Lead and first employee for Europe at HMD Global, leading a team that became the fourth largest mobile equipment manufacturer in Western Europe in just two years. Jon has also been the Founder and CEO of Valen Consulting Ltd and the Chief Revenue Officer of Trustonic. He has also shared his business expertise as a Board Member of Fiskl Limited and as the Chairman of TMT First Ltd. After transitioning to Google in 2021 as the Managing Director of Business and Operations, followed by serving as the Managing Director of Android Global Business, Jon has led teams of over 100 business development managers across 15 global markets.
