Henry Ajder

Henry Ajder, the first “GenAI Cartographer”, is a globally recognised expert on generative AI and deepfakes. Author of the first research mapping genAI’s impact and a BBC AI presenter, Henry’s work has transformed society’s understanding of the generative revolution. Henry advises some of the world’s leading organisations on generative AI. He is a Generative AI “Luminary” Advisor for EY, sits on Meta’s Reality Labs Advisory Council and is a Strategic Advisor to The Partnership on AI. Henry holds a visiting research position on generative AI and AI ethics at The University of Cambridge’s Jesus College. 

Henry presents the BBC series, The Future Will be Synthesised, the BBC’s first documentary series exploring the generative AI and deepfake revolution. He continues to contribute as an AI expert to international news media, including CNN, Bloomberg, and The New York Times. Henry is globally recognised as a leading AI keynote speaker and panel chair. He has spoken on stages around the world, including SXSW, CogX, and Adweek, and has delivered keynote speeches for organisations, including Google, Meta, The Economist, and The University of Oxford. 

Henry tailors his engaging talks to help demystify the immense value and risks of AI, including AI ethics, generative AI business and sector strategy, creativity, entertainment and advertising in the generative age, AI policy and the legislative landscape, combating deepfake threats from cybersecurity to politics and provides ​​​​​generative AI 101 masterclasses. Recognised as an expert on AGI, Henry was recently named one of LinkedIn's Top Voices in AI.

Previously, Henry led generative AI research at MIT and the world’s first deepfake detection company, Sensity AI. He has authored several groundbreaking reports on deepfakes and generative AI, including 2019’s State of Deepfakes report that influenced international legislation and business strategy. As Head of Policy at Metaphysic AI, Henry established Synthetic Futures, the first cross-industry organisation dedicated to ethical generative AI.
