One of a kind act Jon Courtenay has wowed the public with his talent as a pianist, singer and hilarious comedian. Rising to fame after auditioning for and winning Britain’s Got Talent 2020, Jon was also fortunate to secure the golden buzzer from hosts Ant and Dec, wowing not only the judges with his heart-warming talents but hundreds of viewers too. Learning to play the piano aged just five years old, Jon has worked tirelessly within the entertainment industry to hone his skills that he impressed the British general public with whilst on the show.
Before appearing on the renowned series, Jon worked as a performer on cruise ships singing to hundreds of guests throughout the season. Travelling across the globe, in locations such as Spain and Cyprus, Jon has been an entertainer for as long as he can remember. Even before joining cruise ship performances, Jon had an avid interest in magicians, touring the countries hotels and theatres to perform his trade as a comedy magician. As the years have passed, Jon decided to pursue singing and the piano more and was led to perform on Britain’s Got Talent in 2020.
Taking part in the 2020 Britain’s Got Talent, the format of the show took on a different style due to the Covid-19 pandemic. As a result of this, Jon auditioned for the show which was aired between April and May and then the finals were filmed from August to October with suitable restrictions in place to comply with Covid-19 restrictions, such as a virtual audience. In the final, Jon performed in competition with nine other acts in front of judges Ashley Banjo, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams. Taking to the stage, Jon performed one of his heart-warming original comedy songs about his parents and family, claiming the winning spot ahead of Sign Along With Us and Steve Royal.
With a credible track record as a performer, Jon has claimed numerous awards and recognition of his talents. He has previously been named Warner Hotels Entertainer of the Year and claimed the title of Crystal Cruises Comedy Entertainer of the Year two times. Winning the hearts of the general public, Jon is set to perform a tour, titled Jon Courtenay’s Golden Shower 2021 tour. Unique and entertaining, Jon is available to hire to perform at a range of corporate events. A seasoned performer, Jon is able to deliver no matter the event and conveys the same brilliant performance witnessed by the nation on television in person.
