John Pabon

John Pabon is best known as “Australia’s leading voice on greenwashing”. A celebrated author, consultant and speaker on sustainability, John has served as an Advisor & Analyst for United Nations, where he worked directly with Secretary-General Kofi Annan. With two decades of experience in the business of saving our Earth, John is now available to speak at events related to sustainability, greenwashing, climate change and how businesses can help save our planet.

With a Masters degree in Political Science and International Relations from Long Island University, John began his career as a Chief Programming Officer at California State University. John has led an illustrious career working in several eminent roles such as Corporate Citizenship & Public Affairs Strategist at Nielsen & McKinsey, Sustainability Strategist at BSR, and Advisor for US Green Chamber of Commerce. In his role as Advisor & Analyst for United Nations, John worked on key issues such as nuclear disarmament, developing international protocols between the UN and certain governments, and other UN peacekeeping missions.

From his experiences of working all over the world and his extensive research on the impacts of sustainability, John has been able to develop a holistic understanding of the world’s most dynamic markets. In his capacity as Founder & Chief Advisor at Fulcrum Strategic Advisors, John helps organisations make a real impact by offering them practical strategies. He serves as the Chair of The Conference Board’s Asia Sustainability Leaders Council and is also contributes to several prominent publications on issues related to geopolitics, communications, and sustainability.

John has authored three books on sustainability & the ongoing climate crisis – “Sustainability for the Rest of Us: Your No Bullshit, Five-Point Plan for Saving the Planet”, “The Climate Emergency Journal”, and most recently, “The Great Greenwashing: How Brands, Governments, and Influencers are Lying to You”.
