Best known for her expertise in sustainability, Jessica formerly worked as the Head of Sustainability for Innocent Drinks. Her time with Innocent Drinks saw Jessica motivate employees of the company to abide by sustainable practices, develop business models that complied with sustainability and also worked heavily with supply chains to ensure ethical environmental practices. Jessica is also widely known as the former Environment Manager and Sustainable Supply Manager for McDonald’s. At McDonald’s, Jessica was influential in the introduction of the firm’s sustainable supply chains and managed the organisation of environmentally friendly and sustainable programmes. Today, Jessica is working as the Sustainability Director for Huel.
Having studied Environmental Science and obtained a Masters in Environmental Law, Jessica began her career as a Research Officer in Climate Change Impact on Australian Agriculture, for the National Farmers’ Federation. Developing her passion for the environment, Jessica then went on to become a Greenhouse Action Plan Programme Officer for the Australian Government and a Consultant for Environmental Resources Management. Jessica finally worked as a Senior Consultant for the Institute for Sustainable Futures before she was appointed as the Environment Manager at McDonald’s.
Working at McDonald's for almost six years, Jessica also held the title of Global CSR Manager before becoming Head of Sustainability for Innocent Drinks in 2007. For over a decade, Jessica championed the need for sustainable business and claimed several awards in her efforts. Jessica has previously been the recipient of the Community Big Tick Award and the Guardian Sustainable Business Award. She has also been given the ASDA Sustainable Brand Award and the Rainforest Alliance Frog award. In 2020, Jessica was named as one of the 100 UK Leading Environmentalists by Forbes.
