Jessica Clarke is the received the FA Legacy number 168 and has over 50 caps to her name since her debut in 2009. A celebrated football star, Jessica has played for some of the most prominent English football clubs including Sheffield United and Liverpool FC. With the experience of playing in the UEFA Women’s Championship and the FIFA Women’s World Cup, Jessica is a seasoned footballer. Playing from a very young age, Jessica was part of the 2006 FA Women’s Cup final when she was just 16 years old. After 6 years and nearly 72 caps with Leeds United, Jessica joined the Notts County Ladies Football Club where as a top scorer for the team, she received a nomination for the FA Women’s Players’ Player of the Season award. Since then, Jessica has played for Liverpool Women’s FC, making an incredible 68 appearances for the team before playing for Sheffield United Women’s FC. Jessica played for Durham Women’s FC for the 2022-2023 season.
Best known for her contribution to English women’s football, Jessica has played a vital role in the success of the English Lionesses during her time playing for them. Representing the team for the first time during the 2009 Euros, in a team led by Hope Powell, Jessica has scored 11 goals for England overall throughout her career. She was also an important part of Team GB during the 2012 London Olympic Games. With over 100 appearances in the Women’s Super League, Jessica is one of the most accomplished players of her time.
Since taking a step back from the field in 2023, Jessica has been working with ActivKids UK – an initiative to inspire children to be more active and follow a healthy lifestyle. She has led several events for the organisation, including spearheading their 2024 Summer Games event.
