He also spent time as a trainee in the Royal Danish Embassy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. After leaving the Armed Forces, Jesper honed his entrepreneurial spirit to formulate the concept of Just Eat. Started in his basement, Just Eat initially failed to break even, yet Jesper was not disheartened and continued to strive to make his business a success. He has been a seed investor in companies such as Shaping New Tomorrow, REC Watches and Jukeit. He has also been an investor in companies such as TreeTops, Autovice, Reshopper and Hungry Group. Off the back of the success of his company, Jesper has also become an author, having written the titles Kick Ass and All In. He has also claimed recognition as the 2013 Young Global Leader from the World Economic Forum and been named in the Top 100 Most Influential Tech People in Our World list by WIRED. He has also claimed the 2014 Pioneer Award and the Investor of the Year award at the Nordic Startup Awards in both 2014 and 2017.
