Rob launched Trunki in 2006 after being rejected investment in Dragons' Den. Inspired to pioneer a new range of children’s travel products, Rob wanted to produce a suitcase that would make travelling fun for young people and easier for their parents. The brand exploded and has now sold over 3.5 million cases in over 100 countries. Reflecting Rob's innovative design, the suitcases have earned over 120 awards for their design, customer service and trade achievements. Trunki even earned The National Business Awards SME of the Year and was listed on The Sunday Times Fast Track 100.
In 2011, at the New Year Honours, Rob was appointed an MBE in celebration of his business and retail contribution. Continuing such recognition, he was awarded an Honorary degree of Doctor of Engineering from the University of Bath in 2015 and later in 2018 was awarded an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Business Administration from UWE. As a business management speaker, Rob discusses a range of topics with confidence and eloquence.
