Jas Hawker is a renowned former leader of the British Red Arrows, where decisions are made when the stakes are at their highest, making him a sensational speaker specialising in trust, change and high performance. With experience flying at over 800mph, just metres from other aircraft, to leading multinational programmes, he helps organisations build trust before it is needed, learn fast, and prepare for what matters. Translating lessons from critical environments into practical strategies, Jas is a sought-after keynote speaker.
Joining the Royal Air Force (RAF) in 1998 as a Fast Jet Pilot at just 19 years old, he became the youngest pilot to ever join a front-line RAF Tornado Squadron. Jas gained operational experience around the world, leading him to become the Deputy Squadron Commander, where he was trusted to lead complex missions. After serving as a Personal Staff Officer to the Director General of the MOD Saudi Arabian project in 2005, his Red Arrows journey began in 2006 as a Wingman. Following a period of time away from the team, he was invited back as a Leader. Jas became responsible not only for eight fellow pilots, but also for protecting the reputation of the RAF and the United Kingdom as every decision and performance was judged on the public stage.
Continuing to expand his expertise, in 2009, Jas completed a one-year, full-time placement at Australia's leading command leadership and management college, the Advanced Command and Staff College, UNSW, at the Master's level. He was then selected to serve in Afghanistan, working with multinational headquarters as the Senior Air Advisor in 2010. With his impeccable strategic planning expertise, Jas worked in the UK Government, where he advised Ministers on security challenges and capability development. After delving into the world of business in 2012 as a Business Development Officer, he went on to serve as an Aviation Consultant and Instructor, where he trained the next generation of RAF Pilots in all aspects of advanced flying, leading him to become a Senior RAF Officer, followed by the Chief of Operations in 2023.
Currently serving as a Branch Chief at NATO Flight Training Europe, Jas advises governments and industry on the future of military aviation training capability. With 28 years in the RAF, over 5000 hours of flying Tornado GR4 and Hawk aircraft and experience leading one of the most prestigious aircraft teams in the world, his unique perspective combines extraordinary experiences with practical frameworks. Through powerful stories, and stunning video and practical tools, audiences learn how to build trust, maintain performance, lead with clarity, create a culture of learning and accountability and more! Jas helps leaders to build teams that perform when it matters most.
