Jamie Catto is an author, filmmaker, musician and podcast host, transforming lives through his groundbreaking, soul-healing workshops and events. He helps clients work towards professional, creative, and personal breakthroughs of self-discovery, using his own processes in directing, philosophy, and music to help facilitate this.
In the 90s, Jamie was a founding member of the British dance music band Faithless, in which he performed as a vocalist and art and video director for the band. Leaving the group in 1999, Jamie went on to form 1 Giant Leap, an electronic music duo. After filming his months-long travels around the world, the duo released a collaborative film project under the same name that included a multitude of celebrities. They released a sequel in 2008 titled ‘What About Me?’, focusing on humanity's ‘collective insanity’. Since 2010, Jamie has been a director of None of Us Are Free, a board member at DocMiami International Film Festival, Executive Director of 15 Minutes of Friendship, and a motivational speaker. His most recent film project was ‘Becoming Nobody’, a spiritual exploration of the human condition, released in 2019.
He has worked with the likes of Bono, Alanis Morissette, Dido, and Robbie Williams in musical projects, John Cusack, Carrie Fisher, and Stephen Fry in film/TV projects, and Kurt Vonnegut, Bob Geldof, and Tom Robbins in other media. In 2016, he released his book ‘Insanely Gifted’, a transformative guide to turning one's inner demons into the very thing that fuels creativity. His TEDx talk, 'Transforming Shadows into Rocket Fuel', follows the same framework. He is also the host of the podcast The Gentle Village.
