Humaira Bham

Humaira Bham is a broadcaster, presenter and the winner of BBC New Voices Bradford Winner 2025. A dedicated and passionate voice for bringing young, Muslim, female voices into the mainstream, Humaira’s work as a BBC New Voices Presenter has allowed her to focus on uplifting real, human stories full of soul and culture. 

With an academic background in STEM, having achieved a BSc in Optometry from the University of Bradford, Humaira moved into media and presenting. Alongside her work in healthcare, Humaira became one of the winners of the New Voices of Bradford after delivering a tear-jerking poem in tribute to her grandmother. At just age 25, she has worked at the heart of the BBC’s City of Culture coverage throughout 2025, ensuring Bradford gets the recognition it deserves. She has presented across several national primetime shows, including BBC One’s The One Show, BBC Radio 2 and 5Live. Humaira also presented Celebrity EiD, Behind the Screens for Celebrity Bargain Hunt, Look North, and BBC Breakfast, as well as hosting Hidden Bradford on BBC Radio Leeds and BBC Sounds and Big Up Bradford. 

Cultivating her own following on social media, Humaira has produced content for the Turner Prize, the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford, Visit England, and First Buses, for which she has also served as a voice-over for, as well as The National Science and Media Museum, and Story Film and Photography.
