George Bloom

George Bloom has enjoyed a successful career in the entertainment industry, working behind the scenes to deliver amazing creative content from companies such as Disney, Miramax and 20th Century Fox. Currently working as an Executive Producer for CBS Television Studios in their Visual Effects department, George is working on countless hit programmes for the network. Across the breadth of his career, George has directed over 100 music videos and worked on series such as ‘Stranger Things’ on Netflix and ‘Man in the High Castle’ for Amazon. Shaping the future of film production, George is now booked as a speaker for a range of corporate events sharing his expertise on everything from the Metaverse to film production and creativity.

A leading film producer, George is famed for working on the production of animation for Cars 2, Toy Story 3, Ratatouille, X-Men 3 and Wall-E during his time at The Walt Disney Studios. Building strategic marketing plans, George played a major role in making films a success as the Vice President of Creative Content for The Walt Disney Studios. He was also formerly the Vice President of Special Operations for 20th Century Fox, innovating theatrical content and identifying new strategies for marketing. He was also a Screenwriter for Miramax Films, a time during which he sold the film ‘The Saviour’ to Miramax. George's most recent accomplishments have included contributing VFX to renowned projects such as Top Gun, Mission Impossible, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Leveraging a proprietary virtual backlot, meticulously stored on a dedicated server, George empowers filmmakers with unprecedented creative latitude, enabling them to amplify their storytelling universe. Another pivotal achievement has involved orchestrating a nationwide immersive experience tour for the Getty Museum, spanning ten cities. This immersive journey featured an enthralling augmented reality encounter with antiquities, complemented by an expansive LED art showcase.

Passionate about art and science, George also spreads how technology will shape the future of film production, having previously delivered the TEDx talk How the Metaverse Will Change Filmmaking. Providing an insightful vision of the future, George was also awarded funding from the HTC VIVE-X Accelerator program to launch his idea of virtual reality in education – named ‘The Metaverse Channel’. Another of George's exhilarating pursuits centres on pioneering advanced AI tools that facilitate facial rejuvenation and manipulation. Through cutting-edge AI technology, he has custom-tooled and seamlessly rendered actors younger, by up to three decades if desired, revolutionising workflow for unparalleled efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The integration of such AI underscores George's commitment to relentless innovation, propelling creative processes to new horizons. Prior to working on films and television, George was the Creative Director of Capitol Records and also spent 14 years directing music videos and movie trailers. Outside of work, George is a member of the Visual Effects Society, the Producers Guild of America and the Writers Guild of America.
