Following the completion of her degree in broadcast journalism from City University London, Ellie joined the BBC as a broadcast journalist and radio reporter, producing numerous radio programmes including Outside Source, BBC Minute, and The Newsroom. Building on this experience, she became a Television News Reporter for the Victoria Derbyshire Programme, where her investigations into influencers being solicited for sex online and bullying in the British beauty industry became some of the most viewed content in the programme’s history. In 2021, she joined the team at GB News as a reporter for the South-East of England. She has since had the opportunity to challenge various politicians on live TV and cover high-profile breaking news stories in recent years, including the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, the coronation of King Charles, and the UK and US elections. Since 2025, she has been a breakfast anchor on GB News, where she has covered the death of Pope Francis and interviewed the president of Apple Health, Dr Sumbul Desai.
Alongside her broadcast career, Ellie was recognised with a BBC ‘Rising Star’ in 2020, a testament to her incredible ability to connect with both interviewees and audiences. In her previous roles, she was also given the chance to cover the trials of Boris Becker, Wayne Couzens, Kevin Spacey, and the infamous ‘Wagatha Christie Case’.
