He started his career as the Director of Technical Marketing at Rational Software before becoming the VP of Marketing and Certification at Lionbridge. Before he joined as CEO, Ed served as a Member of the Board of Directors at Security Innovation. He has also been the Senior VP of Customer Acquisition at Ipswitch, VP and Board Member of ISSECO, and on the Board of Directors at North Shore Technology Council and National Information Security Group.
Member of the BoSTEM Leadership Committee, Ed is also a Distinguished Research Fellow at Ponemon Institute and Treasurer for Cyversity. In his current role at Security Innovation, he helps his customers become self-sufficient when it comes to protecting their critical data that is most at risk and ensure compliance with corporate mandates.
A prolific speaker, Ed has presented in front of tens of thousands of security professionals and audience members at events such as RSA Conference, PCI Community Meetings, and InfoSec World amongst others. His newest book “See Yourself in Cyber: Security Careers Beyond Hacking” is set to come out in 2024 and he has also co-authored “The Cyber Elephant in the Boardroom”.
