Purvi Kay is the Head of Cyber Security at BAE, a world-renowned aerospace, arms and information security company. Widely regarded as one of the leading cybersecurity experts of her time, Purvi has held roles across both government and FTSE 100 defence companies. Early in her career, Purvi graduated from the University of Bath with a degree in Defence Engineering and Science. She then went on to lead Home Office teams as a Cyber Risk Advisor focused on the Protection of National Infrastructure. Purvi has also served as a government–industry liaison and held key roles in national defence assessment. Her combination of technical expertise and strategic foresight led her to senior leadership positions across cyber policy, risk, and regulatory domains. Purvi’s contributions have been widely recognised; she now serves on the boards as an expert advisor for the Women in Cyber Security board and the Cyber Resilience Centre for London board.
With nearly two decades of experience across the Cyber Security sectors of the UK government, Purvi’s passion has been heard across major platforms around the world, most famously delivering her TEDx talk “How Neurodiversity Can Strengthen Cyber Security”, which highlighted the power of inclusion and cognitive diversity in strengthening digital defences. Purvi has led programs advancing neurodiversity recruitment, women’s leadership in tech, and is frequently invited to speak at major global tech events, including London Tech Week, Infosecurity Europe and the Global Cyber Forum in Riyadh.
