Dr Daniel Olaiya is a captivating story teller and speaker - a Medical Doctor with the NHS and host of The Aerospace Medicine podcast. On a day to day basis he is an anaesthesia and critical care Doctor within the NHS. Daniel is also passionate about Extreme medicine and aviation and aerospace medicine, with a wealth of experience in Extreme environments, aeromedical transfer and retrieval having amassed more than 150 missions around the world within 6 years and practised medicine in austere environments like the Sahara Desert and Mount Kilimanjaro. In 2012 he co-founded PROTIME IP, a revolutionary startup providing innovative vending systems and a supportive network for athletes globally. He completed his Aeromedical Training to become a Certified Flight Physician in 2017 and embarked on Wilderness Medicine training with World Extreme Medicine.
Daniel has a Long history of providing inspiring public addresses for various audiences: He was a finalist of BBC’s “The Speaker” public speaker competition aged 16 and now provides exhilarating inspiring talks for school aged children to motivate them for whatever challenges they may face and to be resilient along the way. While working as a doctor in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary Daniel won the Scottish peoples’ champion prize in the Fame Lab science communication competition 2017 and competed again in 2018 performing an entertaining yet informative talk on Magnetic resonance imaging guided focused Ultrasound at the Natural history museum. He has also provided talks for athletes as a Lecturer at Parkour Generations at their annual conference.
