British doctor and television presenter, Dr. Christian Jessen, is well known for presenting the award-winning show Embarrassing Bodies as well as the hit show Supersize vs Superskinny on Channel 4. Dr Christian studied at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, coming out with MBBS degree. He also holds a medical degree in sexual health, which lent itself perfectly to his role on Embarrassing Bodies.
His degree also allowed him to specialise in infectious diseases and he has since spent time in both Uganda and Kenya, researching about HIV and its interactions with children, alongside studying Malaria. He has often spoken about how his job is more than just a job, it’s a passion and a desire to achieve the best results possible at all times.
Jessen has appeared and presented multiple television shows throughout his career, with spin off shows from the Embarrassing Bodies series including Embarrassing Teenage Bodies, Embarrassing Bodies Kids and Embarrassing Fat Bodies.
Jessen has also appeared on programmes such as Loose Women and 8 Out Of 10 Cats. Aside from television presenting, Christian has written multiple bestselling books including Take Control of Your Weight, Can I Just Ask and Dr Christian’s Guide to Growing Up.
