Dino Sofos has enjoyed a fruitful career in the media industry, forging his success as a talented journalist, broadcaster and now entrepreneur of a leading media company. Following graduating with a BA in Politics and French from The University of Sheffield and a PG dip in Broadcast Journalism from the City University of London, Dino’s career began as a Reporter and Newsreader for BBC Radio Sheffield. Leaving BBC Radio Sheffield, Dino became a Senior Broadcast Journalist for BBC Radio 5 Live, a time during which he reported on everything from the 2010 General Election and the economic and political woes of Greece to Glastonbury. In 2011, Dino became the Producer of The World at One for BBC Radio 4 and a Senior Political Producer for BBC Radio 5 Live. Following six years of working as a Senior Political Producer, Dino moved to BBC News, where he worked as a Senior Social Media Producer for BBC Politics.

Having also worked as the Editor of BBC News Podcasts, Dino is best known as the Founder of Persephonica, a leading podcast company that he is now the CEO of. As a leading podcast creator, during his time with the BBC Dino created some of their most successful podcasts such as Brexitcast, The Next Episode and Americast. Brexitcast in particular was taken to BBC One, and has amassed over 1.1 million viewers per episode – a podcast that earned Dino the Listeners’ Choice at the British Podcast Awards. His company Persephonica have recently launched a new daily podcast titled The New Agents, quickly established as a leading podcast that hit 24 million downloads in just seven months.
