David Grossman

David Grossman has enjoyed a successful career working as a news correspondent, broadcaster and journalist for the BBC. Currently the Chief Correspondent for BBC Newsnight, David is regularly seen reporting on important news stories, from technology to US politics and elections. A widely experienced reporter, David has a broad knowledge of media and journalism, having reported on some of the major stories from the past two decades. With such expertise to his name, David is now booked as a speaker or event moderator, sharing his knowledge on politics, technology, journalism and news broadcasting.

After completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Politics at the University of East Anglia, David began his career as a BBC journalist and reporter in 2002, becoming a Political Correspondent for the BBC. Working in this role for 11 years, David then went on to become the Technology Editor for BBC Newsnight in 2014. He has also worked as the Political Editor of BBC Newsnight, and most recently has acted as the US Correspondent for BBC Newsnight covering the 2020 election in Washington DC.

Before joining the BBC, David worked his way up the industry working as a Reporter for On The Record. He has also formerly worked as a Reporter and Presenter of BBC Radio Solent, a Reporter for BBC South Today and as the Political Correspondent for BBC North West. In 2015, David was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Civil Law from the University of East Anglia, backing his credible reputation as a reporter and broadcaster.
